We genuinely care about our Turkeys, hand rearing them from birth to the highest welfare standards possible.
Our Story
We are a family run farm, based on the Essex/Hertfordshire border, where our family has been actively farming for over 70 years. We have reared traditional farm fresh, free range bronze for the Christmas market for over 30 years.
The farm is currently run by Peter May with his miniature manager Elsie. Peter also runs a busy agricultural and amenity contracting business, alongside the poultry enterprise, 12 recently established business rental units and a thriving biomass business.
We pride ourselves on producing the finest quality, traditionally reared turkeys. All of our Christmas turkeys are free to roam our grass paddocks throughout the day, which we feel makes for a more happier, healthy turkey!

I had one of your 12kg bronze last year, but opted for a smaller 8kg bronze this year and it was perfect (although we ended up having more people than expected-that’s family for you!). Four hours was perfect to cook it and it ended up moist and flavourful. Obviously I know first hand how well you treat your livestock, and I must say that it really reflects in the finished product.
